Hello! I’m Sarayu. I’m autistic, I’m a therapist, and a deeply curious human. I don’t see symptoms as the whole story. I see them as signals.
I believe that the autistic characteristics we identify with are part of our humanity. Your neurotype shapes how you experience the world and relationships, but years of misunderstanding, misattunement, pressure, and adaptation shaped how you learned to relate to yourself.
In the therapy room, I tend to be slow, spacious, and sometimes a little silly, because being human is weird, and we don’t have to make healing more serious than it already feels.
After identification,
there’s still more of you to meet.
You may have arrived here after going through an assessment, falling down a rabbit hole of your own research, or otherwise identifying a new way of naming your lived experience.
Maybe there’s relief. Maybe grief. Maybe questions you didn’t know were possibilities. Maybe validation.
You don’t have to sort through what’s next by trying harder on your own.
Therapy can offer a steady place to begin orienting to what this means for your life, your relationships, your body, your history, and your sense of self.
My work with late-identified Autistic women is relational, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming. We move with curiosity rather than correction, making room for the patterns that helped you survive and the parts of you that may be ready to be met differently now.
Therapy can help slowly rebuild trust in yourself, understand the ways you left yourself behind to navigate a world that doesn’t always see you, and honor the brilliance of how you survived.
If this feels like the kind of therapy you’re looking for, reach out to schedule a consult via the button below, and you’ll hear from me soon.
